Entropy Engineering is a hardware/software Research and Development house.
We produce content/product, other companies sell it. Please refer to the links below for some of those companies.
Our blend of hardware and software expertise allows us to evaluate projects without any bias, and develop unique cost/time effective solutions.
We at Entropy Engineering take pride that "We get things done." We do more than just write killer proposals, we get working content/product out in the field.
We are currently working on a couple of in-house projects. When we have a few minutes we will update this site. We are not currently actively looking for new projects. However if you have a project that is either worth a bunch of money or is a lot of fun, get in touch. We are particularly interested in computer, xbox and arcade games.
Here is a very very brief look at Entropy Engineering's history. Before forming Entropy Engineering, we produced games, such as Origins-award-winning Streets of Stalingrad. We originally developed Revenge of the Phoenix for the Atari 2600 and later ported it to the Commodore 64. We took the expertise we had developed while working on C64 games and wrote a book, Commodore 64 Assembly Language Arcade Game Programming. For a complete change of pace we did radio communication and vision system work for the RB5X Robot.
Entropy Engineering produced the first Desktop Video Product, Video Titler, a pc-based professional quality character generator. Quick Show, developed by us, published by HSC Software, was the first HiColor presentation software package. We took our character generation and image display technology and teamed up with LunaCorp to produce the highly successful Return to the Moon CD. Jerry Pournelle said the following about Return to the Moon, "If you have any interest in the Moon, this is the one you need." We then took our graphics technology to Hollywood. We did Technical Effects for movies and tv shows including: Universal Soldier, True Lies, Shadow Conspiracy, Hunter, New Mary Tyler Moore Show, Space Rangers and 30-Something.
We developed drivers and a user interface for STB's TV-PCI card. We enjoyed playing Warcraft II, but there were not enough maps. That led us to produce 734 Maps for WarCraft II. We eventually sold the rights to Aztech New Media and it was released by them as Aztech's Armory. We teamed up with LunaCorp and Virtogo to produce Lunar Defense, a six-degree-of-freedom motion-platform arcade game. Click here for more information on Lunar Defense.
